Digital X-Ray
Digital X-Ray technology is a key factor in maintaining animal health.
With high quality images and a computer program that allows us to enhance, zoom in, and measure on screen, we can get a superior analysis of your pet’s radiographs. Offering Digital X-ray to our clients and their pets allows instant viewing of images and the capabilities to send these images to specialists, therefore providing quick support, diagnosis and treatment.
Radiographs are for more than just bones. Using our x-ray machine, we can get a visual on:
- Bone fractures or imperfections
- Arthritis
- Joint problems
- Internal organs
- Lung capacity
- Heart size
- Intestinal foreign bodies
- Urinary stones
- Collapsing trachea
- Enlarged organs
- and more!
Even if there isn’t bone involved, we can see a lot on our radiographs to help get the proper diagnosis. If you pet requires x-rays, our veterinarians may ask for sedation. Pets have to stay still for their x-rays, so sometimes it’s easier to give them a bit of medication to take the edge off and calm them down first. It’s much easier to see a picture if it isn’t blurry!
